Former Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, criticized the BJP-JJP coalition government in a press conference, accusing it of only engaging in superficial discussions by calling a three-day legislative session. The Congress party has presented more than 24 substantive issues, requiring extensive deliberation, but the government is running a regime of limited propaganda, false information, and rampant corruption in Haryana.
Hooda alleged the misuse of government machinery for false and hollow propaganda. He cited the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra as a recent example, where the BJP-JJP alliance is exploiting school children and government employees for political agendas. The government attempts to sway public opinion through large advertisements in newspapers but fails to deceive the people who are well aware of the government’s actions.
Regarding corruption, Hooda stated that the Haryana Skill Employment Corporation has become a hub for exploitation and corruption. The corporation lacks constitutional provisions for transparency, merit, qualification, or reservation. Instead of providing secure jobs to the youth, the government has turned into a contractor itself. If the Congress comes to power in the state, nearly 200,000 vacant positions will be filled through permanent recruitment to provide employment to the youth.
The winter session of the Haryana Legislative Assembly is scheduled to run from December 15 to December 19, with a break on December 16-17. The opposition is strategizing to corner the Khattar government during this session. The focus is on issues that have captured significant interest. Efforts are being made to ensure that the message of the Gita reaches a global audience, inspired by the G20 summit. Hooda has organized this conference with the aim of promoting international dialogue on the teachings of the Gita.
