EX-BJP LEADER HARMAL DHIMAN JOINS AAP

EX-BJP LEADER HARMAL DHIMAN JOINS AAP

After the victory in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is hoping to strengthen and expand in other states. ALmost 18 people have joined the AAP’s Himachal Pradesh wing. In the presence of Delhi Cabinet Minister & Himachal Pradesh’s election in-charge Satyendar Jain and State In-charge Durgesh Pathak, ex-BJP leader Harmal Dhiman joined AAP on Wednesday.

Slamming BJP, AAP leader Satyender Jain said, “Several prominent people have joined the AAP for two reasons, to begin with, these good and hardworking people had been dismayed by the kind of policies being peddled by the BJP and secondly, they were impressed by the policy of change and the model of governance the party has given in other states under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Leading the pack is, Harmal Dhiman who has served as the Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Executive Member (SC Wing), SC Morcha Vice-President, and has held a high position in the party for over 30 years.” Jain also claimed that 1000 people would be roped in by Harmal Dhiman.

Justifying his decision about leaving BJP, Dhiman said that he put forth a lot of effort in the BJP for 30 years. However, he claimed that he continued to work hard despite that the party always offered tickets to someone else

Along with Dhiman, two other BJP members, Jagdish Panwar and Devraj Thakur also joined the party. Congress member, Ratan Singh Rathore is also likely to join the party. Apart from these, Sheesh Ram, Hemant, Ashok Kumar, Ravindra Sharma, Diwakar Sharma, Yashwant Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Ration Lal, Sunil Dutt, Umad Thakur, Pushpendra Kashyap, Rajendra Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Madan Thakur also joined the Aam Aadmi Party with their supporters and followers.

Similarly, in the last week, Anup Kesari, the president of the AAP’s Himachal unit, Satish Thakur, the organisation’s general secretary, Una district leader Iqbal Singh, and Himachal Mahila Morcha chairman Mamta Thakur, as well as five other office bearers, quit the AAP to join the BJP.
