Under the direction of the Election Department, various enforcement agencies in the state are creating new records by confiscating illegal goods. Since the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct on 9 October, illegal liquor, cash, and other goods worth over Rs 200 crore have been seized in the state.
Chief Election Officer Praveen Gupta stated that in terms of these seizures, Jaipur tops the list in the state with Rs 32 crore 67 lakh worth of goods. Banswara is in second place with Rs 13 crore 34 lakh, Udaipur in third with Rs 12 crore 74 lakh, and Alwar in fourth place with Rs 12 crore. Similarly, in the case of seizures of over Rs 10 crore, Barmer ranks fifth.
Illegal liquor worth Rs 4 crore 30 lakh tops the list in Alwar. Barmer is in first place with the seizure of drugs worth Rs 7 crore 40 lakh, while Jaipur is in first place with the seizure of illegal cash of Rs 7 crore 77 lakh. Banswara is in the first place for the seizure of precious metals like gold and silver worth Rs 11.14 crore.
