Encourage investment in tourism in Himachal: CM Sukhu

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, recently addressed the UK-based British Himachal Society and urged the migrant Himachal population settled in the United Kingdom to make efforts to encourage investment in tourism and other sectors in the state. The statement was issued on Monday, detailing the interaction between the representatives of the society and the Chief Minister, which took place via video-conferencing on Sunday evening. During the interaction, Sukhu informed the representatives about the innovative initiatives that the state government is taking in the fields of education, health, and information technology. He emphasized the need for investment in the tourism sector and requested the society’s representatives to encourage investment in the state.
The representatives of the British Himachal Society, Avneesh and Ritu, also apprised the Chief Minister about the various activities being undertaken by the organisation. They informed him that the society had celebrated the 76th Himachal Day in London and was making concerted efforts to propagate the rich culture of the state. The state government has been taking various initiatives to promote tourism and attract investment in the state. The interaction between the Chief Minister and the representatives of the British Himachal Society highlights the importance of the diaspora in contributing to the development of the state. The society’s efforts to promote the state’s culture and heritage are also commendable and can go a long way in boosting tourism in the state.
