Empowering women’s health: PHDCCI hosts session on awareness and wellness

The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a session on Women’s Health and Wellness at PHD House, Chandigarh. The program’s objective is to raise awareness among women about factors affecting their health.
Dr. Vandana Mittal Singla, Senior Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Laparoscopic, and Infertility Specialist at Paras Hospital, addressed the prevalent health concerns among women, including hormonal imbalances, urinary tract infections (UTIs), polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and mental health.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, incorporating regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and stress management techniques like yoga or meditation is emphasized. In some cases, hormonal therapy may be recommended, and consulting with healthcare providers for personalized advice is crucial.
Jyoti Solaria, Mindfulness Coach, and Corporate Trainer addressed the challenges of anxiety and depression among women, emphasizing the need for gender-specific mental health services. Creating a supportive environment and addressing societal factors contributing to mental health issues can lead to a healthier future for women.
Mohit Nijhawan, Founder & CEO of EMBRYONIC GREENS PVT LTD, discussed the significant concerns of poor and insufficient diets among women, acknowledging the barriers they face in accessing nutritious foods. Strategies promoting healthy eating habits are essential, recognizing the challenges posed by busy schedules and multiple responsibilities.
