Official meeting under the chairmanship of Education Minister Kavarpal Gujjar took place with the eight-member delegation of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, related to the Computer Lab Attendant Employees Union.
Additional Chief Secretary Sudhir Rajpal from the Education Department, Director of Education Jitendra Kumar, Additional Education Director from ITICEL, and other officers were present at the meeting held at Haryana Residence, Chandigarh. Director Praveen Sangwan, Additional Education Director Kuldeep Mehta, and other officers should be included.
Regional Organization Minister of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Pawan Kumar, should be specially included. Various issues discussed in the meeting included salary hike, summer and winter holiday salary, medical allowance, contract increase before the code of conduct, salary payment from the treasury, EPF and ESI, and transfer/adjustment of interested computer lab attendant and computer teacher employees.
The meeting was positive, and consensus was reached on almost all the issues. On the above demands, Additional Chief Secretary Sudhir Rajpal said, ‘I will personally make efforts to obtain the file for salary hike, summer and winter holiday salary, which is in the Finance Department, and get your letter issued before the code of conduct, EPF and ESI.’
Regarding the file, the department issued orders in a strict tone, stating that where more than ten employees work, their EPF and ESI should be deducted. In response, the Director of Education ordered the immediate submission of the file to higher officials. On the treasury subject, ACAS mentioned that the salary of computer lab attendants and computer teachers should be paid in the same manner as that of guest teachers.
The Director of Education presented the file for the contract increase of computer lab attendants, which ACAS filed during the meeting. The Director of Education stated that the contract for Computer Lab Attendants and Computer Teachers would be extended in due course.
Additionally, the letter for the removal of Computer Lab Attendants and Teachers, issued recently, will be canceled, and the right to remove any employee will be given to the District Education Officer.
Addressing the journalists, State President of Computer Lab Attendant Employees Union, Surendra Payont, and State General Secretary, Sunil Rana, mentioned that the meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere, consensus was reached on almost all the issues, and now, what is needed is the issuance of the letter. They expressed confidence that the meeting chaired by the Honorable Education Minister will soon yield positive results. Rajesh Pada, Sahil Sharma, Sonu Narwal, Amit Dhiman, Amar Rana, etc., were present in the meeting.
