The issue of paper leaks has gained significant momentum in Rajasthan ahead of the elections. On Friday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) took action in two separate cases in Rajasthan. In one case related to a paper leak, the ED arrested former member of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Babulal Kataria, and middleman Anil Meena. Before Kataria’s arrest, the ED had conducted inquiries while he was in jail. The ED also questioned various RPSC officials, including its chairman, regarding the paper leak. In another development to the case, the ED seized 5 kilograms of gold in a Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) case on Friday.
In the paper leak case, both accused, Babulal Kataria and Anil Meena, have been remanded in custody by the court. The court has granted the ED three days of custody for further questioning.
After the questioning of Babulal Kataria, the ED also conducted inquiries into the paper leak case with RPSC members and officials. They questioned RPSC Chairman Sanjay Shrotriya regarding the connection and security arrangements related to the paper leak.
