Dubey was killed because he knew secrets of BJP leaders: Akhilesh Yadav

In an interview with The Daily Guardian, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh AKhilesh Yadav alleged that notorious gangster Vikas Dubey, who died in an encounter on Friday, had links with the BJP and was killed because he could have revealed secrets about many BJP leaders of the state.

Q. Your reactions on Vikas Dubey’s encounter?

A. Law and order has broken down in Uttar Pradesh. The National Human Rights Commission has pulled up the state on both encounters and custodial deaths. The culture is such that promotions and postings are now being given to policemen on the number of encounters they do. It is clear that he (Dubey) had something with the BJP, knew some secrets about BJP leaders, and that is why he was killed. What was that BJP was scared of that he could’ve revealed?

 Q. Was Dubey a part of the Samajwadi Party (SP), as alleged by his mother?

A. He was not part of the SP. This is a wicked trick of the BJP to make his mother claim that he was part of the SP.

Q. Why are you letting the Congress take advantage in UP?

A. This is not true. I have spoken on the migrant crisis. The UP government has 90,000 buses at its disposal. Not even one migrant needed to walk. The Congress also waited till they offered buses. Where was the Congress when workers from Punjab and Rajasthan walked back to Saharanpur?

Why didn’t the Rajasthan government offer buses for them? The BJP has done no development work. Do you know that all the Covid centres in UP are institutions built by the SP? The Sharda University that is being used as a Covid centre was built by Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav). What has the Yogi government done in terms of development?
