The police have implemented a dual-layered security arrangement at the polling centres of the capital Rajasthan and Commerce College premises. Commissionerate personnel are stationed in the external area of the centre, while central security forces have taken charge inside the premises. The security command of the polling centre is in the hands of Commissionerate’s ADCP Kunwar Rastdeep.
Commissioner Biju George Joseph stated that both colleges are surrounded by security.
Except for security personnel, no one is allowed entry into the centre, and the rooms where EVMs are kept have been sealed. These rooms will only be opened on the day of the polling, December 3.
He mentioned that Commissionerate personnel have been stationed at the entrance gates of both colleges and on the rooftops of both buildings, including the premises of both colleges, personnel of central security forces have been stationed.
In addition to this, Commissionerate and ASI patrol teams are patrolling day and night on JLN Marg and all surrounding roads. During the patrol, immediate instructions have been given to arrest anyone suspiciously seen in the vicinity.
