Dr. Jitendra Singh addressed the ‘National Conference on Local Administration and Citizen-Centric Governance: Priorities, Policies, and Strategies, organised by the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) in New Delhi.
Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has successfully used technology to provide citizen-centric governance.
Over the last decade, the comprehensive impact of this has emerged as a new work culture, utilising artificial intelligence, to address corruption, enhance transparency, promptly resolve complaints, and ultimately empower citizens to become digitally literate.
Dr Jitendra Singh stated that PM Modi’s policy of ‘maximum governance, minimum government’ has been translated into reality through the digital empowerment of citizens.
He said, “If in the last 9-10 years under PM Modi, technology has become the hallmark of the entire governance process, then the use of technology has been maximised for better functioning of each component of good governance.”
He said that the IIPA will be a source of inspiration, preparing today’s youth to become architects of change for transforming India into ‘Developed India 2047’ during the Amrit Kal. Dr. Jitendra Singh concluded by saying that today’s youth are fortunate to be citizens of ‘Developed India 2047.’
