To address the rightful demands of state government employee Dr. Baljeet Kaur, the Minister overseeing Social Security, Women, and Child Development, conducted discussions today with the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) to attend to their valid needs. During the meeting, some of the main demands put forth by the union included granting Grade 3 status to Anganwadi workers and Grade 4 to helpers, ensuring the care of children aged 0 to 6 years in Anganwadi centers, designating the role of pre-nursery teachers for Anganwadi workers, granting seniority to Anganwadi workers and helpers, recruitment for the positions of Anganwadi workers and helpers, medical leave provisions, and issuance of cards for free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, among others.
Cabinet Minister assured the union representatives that their demands would be attentively addressed and resolved promptly.
