District Hospital Mohali has achieved another milestone in providing quality and effective healthcare facilities to the people. For the first time, the surgery department has done piles surgery with a laser machine.
Divulging the details, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mahesh Kumar Ahuja and senior medical officer Dr. HS Cheema said that district hospital is the first government health facility in the state where the piles surgery with a laser machine has been performed. They said that the credit of the successful surgical procedure goes to laparoscopic surgeon Dr Vaneet Kamboj and his team, who have executed the procedure with their hard work and dedication. Notably, the laser piles surgery is done only in big private hospitals where the patient has to pay a substantial fee while in the government hospital the patient pays a nominal fee.
The health officials appealed to the people that if any general surgery is required for any kind of illness, they can visit the government hospitals in the district and may avail the free and quality health facilities provided by the government
