Punjab’s Minister of Sports and Youth Services, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, has directed the state’s eligible youth clubs to release a total of 1.50 crore rupees by December 31, who are actively engaged in running welfare activities and awareness campaigns. During the review meeting of the Youth Services Department in his office, Meet Hayer stated that the Youth Clubs doing commendable work at the grassroots level are being financially supported by the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He instructed district-level officials of the group to release financial assistance to youth clubs by December 31, 2023. He further stated that the targets of special camps should be fulfilled in units operating at the district level under the NSS scheme. On this occasion, issues related to other schemes were discussed in the meeting initiated by Youth Services officials. Meet Hayer directed to upload all information on the website to make Village Level Youth Clubs time companions. He said that the entire process of affiliating youth clubs should be done through the website. In the meeting, the Minister of Sports and Youth Services praised the Village Level Youth Clubs for their good work and activities. He expressed confidence in overcoming the challenges faced in running VYG schemes at the district level.
