DGP RR Swain urges collective action to prevent loss of lives in road accidents

In a road safety awareness function held in Jammu, Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain emphasized the need for collective efforts to prevent and reduce the loss of human lives in road accidents.
Expressing his concern over the frequent occurrences of road accidents in Jammu and Kashmir, DGP Swain highlighted the preventable nature of these incidents if all stakeholders take sincere steps.
“It is the responsibility of multiple stakeholders to address the situation. Whether it’s drivers, road users, the road engineering department, or regulatory authorities issuing licenses, everyone has a role to play. We should all fulfill our responsibilities to the best of our abilities,” urged DGP Swain, underscoring the shared responsibility in ensuring road safety.
The DGP praised the organizers of the road safety awareness program and commended the participants for their dedication. He reiterated that through sincere efforts from all stakeholders, the loss of lives on the roads can be prevented and minimized.
As road safety continues to be a paramount concern, DGP RR Swain stressed the importance of increased awareness, responsible driving, and collaborative initiatives to create safer roads for both drivers and pedestrians.
