Devendra Yadav accuses AAP of retaliatory measures against opposition leaders

Punjab Congress In-Charge Devendra Yadav, PPCC Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, and CLP Leader Partap Singh Bajwa addressed the media following their meeting with Sukhpal Singh Khaira at Nabha jail on Friday.

In his remarks to the media, Devendra Yadav expressed concerns about the alleged vendetta politics being played by the Aam Aadmi Party against opposition leaders and parties. He asserted that those who voice dissent against the party are susceptible to the misuse of administrative powers, citing the case of Sukhpal Singh Khaira as a prime example.

Expanding on his statement, Yadav remarked, “Khaira Ji is facing unjust treatment. Upon securing bail, he was re-arrested on the same morning with a new FIR filed against him. This pattern indicates the manipulation of police administration to serve the internal agendas of the Aam Aadmi Party.”

Amarinder Singh Raja Warring reinforced the Congress’s unwavering support for Khaira, stating, “We stand united with Khaira Ji throughout this ordeal and are committed to seeking justice. Despite evident abuses of law and order, we implore our esteemed leader to remain steadfast, as we will persist in our fight against this unjust treatment. Our conversations with Khaira Ji reaffirm our confidence in the judiciary, and we are certain that justice will prevail.”
In conclusion, Devendra Yadav remarked, “It is disconcerting that every opposition leader, regardless of stature, is apprehensive about the Aam Aadmi Party leveraging its power to stifle dissenting voices. Despite blatant abuses of power, Punjab Congress remains resolute in opposing this injustice and will persevere until Khaira Ji is granted bail.”
