A fierce fire erupted in the Dar Gali Bus Stand area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday morning, resulting in the destruction of at least 20 shops and a residential dwelling.

The incident prompted an urgent response from the Fire and Emergency Services, with multiple fire tenders rushed to the scene to combat the rapidly spreading flames. In addition to the local fire brigade, vehicles from Baramulla were also deployed to assist in the firefighting efforts.

The collaborative response aimed to contain the blaze and prevent further damage to the surrounding structures. As firefighters battled the inferno, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Indian Army, and officials from the Kupwara District Administration actively monitored the rescue operations to ensure the safety of residents and mitigate the impact on the local community.
