Desperate Pakistan pushing hard to arm terrorists in Kashmir

It has been a year since Pakistan is trying to carry out a major terrorist attack in India, but not only have its efforts failed miserably but also most terror outfits in Kashmir are today leaderless thanks to the successful anti-terror operations launched by India’s security forces in the Valley. To add to it, top intelligence sources have told The Daily Guardian that terrorists hiding in Kashmir Valley are also facing a huge shortage of arms and ammunition and are desperate for some help from across the border.

The forces are alert because amid the ongoing tension between China and India, Pakistan is trying to take advantage of this opportunity and is constantly violating the ceasefire on the border. Pakistan feels that while the focus of the Indian Army is on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), it can hatch a conspiracy to supply arms to terrorists operating in the Valley.

A senior officer associated with the intelligence agency told The Daily Guardian that the movement of ordinary citizens around the Line of Control is also being closely monitored as terrorists may disguise themselves as nomads or shepherds to pick up weapons. Intelligence agencies have also issued an alert regarding the dropping of weapons through drones in Jammu and Kashmir.

A senior intelligence agency official said the LoC has seen weapons and ammunition thrown in recent times. This is a clear indication that people from across the border are trying to infiltrate and return to their bases across the border with weapons. This may be due to the strong grid of anti-infiltration.

In June, the Border Security Force destroyed a Pakistani drone on the International Border in Kathua district of Jammu region.

The drone carried a stateof-the-art rifle and seven grenades. The drone, manufactured in China, weighed around 17.5 kg and had weapons weighing 5.5 kg. It contained US-made M4 semiautomatic carbines and seven Chinese grenades. Four batteries, a radio signal receiver and two ‘Global Positioning Systems’ (GPS) were also recovered from the drone.

Since small drones are difficult to detect, all high-tech devices are being deployed along with human investigations for the sake of extra vigilance. According to a senior official associated with the security of Jammu and Kashmir, after an incident in Pir Panjal, all units have been alerted to keep an eye on any flying object on the LoC.

In the latest intelligence report, it has been revealed that Pakistan has activated all its machinery for infiltration of terrorists in India. Pakistan Army, ISI and terrorists have increased their presence on the launch pad of the entire LoC.

There have been antidrone systems installed at the India-Pakistan International Border so that the plans of smuggling weapons can be effectively foiled. This drone system uses Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) and frequency techniques to effectively destroy the drones that are being used to smuggle weapons across the border.
