Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain has instructed Revenue Officers to prioritize the resolution of uncontested family land divisions by conducting special camps in the district. This directive follows her visit to Village Manauli Surat, where she became aware of various issues related to land division.
Upon learning about the challenges faced by the villagers during the visit, Jain promptly directed Revenue Officers to address the matter immediately. Special camps, modeled after the already scheduled ones for mutations on January 15, are to be organized to expedite the resolution of these land divisions.
During her interaction with villagers at the camp, Jain attentively listened to their concerns and assured them that their issues would be resolved within the stipulated time frame. She acknowledged learning about problems related to Ayushman Bharat – Chief Minister Health Bima Yojana and Aadhar Card during the camp and committed to addressing these issues promptly. Jain also encouraged villagers to register as voters for the upcoming Gurdwara Board Elections and advised them to submit their forms to Halka Patwari.
In an effort to promote sustainable farming practices, the Deputy Commissioner urged the farmers present to take advantage of the subsidized Bailers provided by the State Government to manage stubble without resorting to burning. Several government departments participated in the camp, including the District Industry Centre, Health Department, Market Committee Banur, Punjab Rural Aajivika Mission, MGNREGA, Agriculture, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Social Security, Woman and Child Development, among others.
Accompanying Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain were ADC (Rural Development) Sonam Chaudhary, SDM Mohali Chandrajyoti Singh, Naib Mohali Ravinder Singh, and Executive Engineer PPCB Gursharan Dass. The Deputy Commissioner received a warm welcome from Sarpanch Naib Singh and villagers, who honored her with Siropao.
