On Tuesday, people in Rajasthan shivered in the cold throughout the day due to a thick blanket of fog. The situation became such that the fog lingered, causing the sun to remain unseen until noon.
To combat the cold, people sought refuge in warm clothing, and the night brought even more discomfort. The night temperatures in 23 cities across the state dropped below 10 degrees Celsius. In several cities, sunlight was not visible due to dense fog, affecting daily life and traffic across the state. Visibility was reduced to 50 to 100 meters, forcing drivers to use headlights to reach their destinations.
Mount Abu recorded an all-time low temperature, with frost visible on trees, plants, and car roofs. The state saw a decrease of 6 degrees in daytime temperatures and 4 degrees at night.
