Delhi: Mega Block to Affect Over 53 Trains, 10 Trains Canceled Due to Construction Work in Lucknow Division

Due to ongoing construction work, passengers on the Lucknow rail route will face significant disruptions. The Barabanki-Ayodhya-Akbarpur-Jaunpur section will undergo yard reconstruction and interlocking work, leading to a mega block from October 2 to October 5. As a result, over 53 trains will be affected, with 10 trains being canceled and around 43 trains rerouted.

Canceled Trains

Several trains will be canceled due to the block, including:

  • Train 14017 Raxaul-Anand Vihar Terminal Sadbhavana Express on September 26
  • Train 14018 Anand Vihar-Raxaul Sadbhavana Express on September 25
  • Bahraich-Varanasi Intercity Express
  • Ahmedabad-Darbhanga Special Clone
  • Ballia-Shahganj Passenger

Rerouted Trains

Several major trains will run on alternate routes during this period, such as:

  • Ganga Sutlej Express
  • Doon Express
  • Kota-Patna Express
  • Farakka Express
  • Guwahati-Okha Dwarka Express
  • Kamakhya-Gandhidham Express
  • Amritsar-New Tinsukia Express
  • Mumbai LTT-Ayodhya Cantt Superfast Express
  • Tatanagar-Amritsar Jallianwala Bagh Express
  • Kaifiyat Superfast Express
  • Saryu Yamuna Express
  • Garib Nawaz Express
  • Ahmedabad-Darbhanga Sabarmati Express
  • Jaynagar-Amritsar Clone Special
  • Utsarg Express
  • Surat-Muzaffarpur Express
  • Godan Express

Special Train Extensions for Festive Season

In a bid to ease travel during the upcoming festive season, Indian Railways has extended the service of the Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar Special (Train 05283) until October 21, and the Anand Vihar-Muzaffarpur Special (Train 05284) until October 22. This will provide relief for passengers traveling to eastern regions of India during the holidays.

Passengers are advised to check the revised schedules and routes to avoid inconvenience during this period.
