Early on Wednesday, a large fire was reported to have started at a plywood store in New Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar neighborhood.
The Delhi Fire Service said that the fire had been put out and that no one had been hurt or lost their lives.
21 fire vehicles were dispatched to the scene, according to Rajendra Atwal, a division officer with the Delhi Fire Service.
“We received the call at 4:07 am, and 21 fire vehicles are currently on the scene. As there is plywood involved, which has a high fire load, it will take some time to totally put out the fire. The building has also developed fractures. The MCD will evaluate it further, according to Atwal.
No fatalities or injuries have been reported as a result of the shop.
