Delhi excise policy scam: Pharma company head held

In connection with alleged corruption  of the excise policy formulation and implementation, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Aurobindo Pharma Director P. Sarath Chandra Reddy on Thursday.

According to the reports, Reddy is being questioned for money laundering currently.

Earlier, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and in charge of Delhi Government excise department Manish Sisodia was named as the primary accused and the FIR was also filed in August.

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party government passed the excise policy in 2021-2022, over which lieutenant governor VK Saxena showed the red flag and recommended a CBI probe into the matter.

Talking about Reddy, he is a graduate of Business Administration and also has experience in general management and project execution.

However, the AAP has slammed BJP over the case filed against Manish Sisodia and called it fake.
