February 13 is looming large as farmers prepare for a march in Delhi, stirring heightened concerns among authorities. The police are closely monitoring the situation, particularly regarding the planned tractor parade. In anticipation, the Haryana police conducted a simulation at the Shambhu border, deploying tear gas shells towards Punjab. This exercise induced anxiety among the populace, though prior warnings had been issued by the police. Evidently, law enforcement is well-equipped to thwart the farmers’ procession.

It should be noted that the police administration at the Tikri border between Delhi and Haryana has started making strong arrangements to stop the farmers. CCTV cameras have been installed on pillars along with the metro rail adjacent to the Tikri border.
A five-layer security arrangement has been made at the Tikri border. Additionally, paramilitary and police forces have been deployed to deal with any situation. High-quality cameras and sound systems have also been installed. The police administration has set up tents for management and blocked the road from Delhi to Bahadurgarh with barricades.
By late evening, paramilitary forces could also be deployed at the Tikri border. Moreover, the Delhi police have demanded 20 additional companies of security forces to strengthen the security arrangements.

Farmers have announced the ‘Delhi Chalo’ movement on February 13. Seeing this, the Delhi police have become fully active. On one hand, they have started erecting barbed wire barricades on the roads leading to and from Delhi. On the other hand, small and large barricades made of cement and concrete have also been procured. Along with this, large iron containers have also been placed on the road.

All these efforts are being made to prevent farmers from entering the capital city of Delhi. At the Tikri border in Delhi, six ASP-level officers and more than fifteen hundred policemen have been deployed.
