A 60-year-old man died apparently after being electrocuted at a restaurant in East Delhi’s Preet Vihar on Sunday, according to Delhi police.
According to authorities, a case has been filed and an investigation has begun. As per Delhi Police, they received information on Saturday afternoon at Preet Vihar police station that one Satender Negi (60), a resident of Railway colony Mandawali Delhi working as a peon in ‘Salt Cafe’ in A Block Market, Preet Vihar, suffered an electric shock in the kitchen while placing utensils in the rack, and collapsed.
According to authorities, he was transported to a local hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead. Following the event, a police team was dispatched to check the scene.
Based on their preliminary investigation, the Preet Vihar police station has filed a case under Section 304 A of the IPC. “We are continuing to investigate the case,” police said.
