Death penalty demanded to Kashmiri separatist Yasin Malik in terror funding case

Delhi High Court adjourns hearing on NIA’s plea. The matter will be heard in the Delhi High Court on December 5. The hearing of the case was postponed due to non-availability of the bench hearing in the case. Yasin Malik is serving life sentence in terror funding case. In the last hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the NIA, told the court that Malik had cleverly confessed to his crime to avoid the death penalty and the court sentenced him to life imprisonment. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that this type of crime against Yasin Malik is punishable by death but in this way the terrorist confessed to the crime and escaped the death penalty.
