Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan chaired a meeting with stakeholders at the Mini Secretariat to discuss various ongoing schemes of the Central and State Government. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the need to swiftly address the sex ratio in the district. The administration has undertaken initiatives such as gender tests, NTP kit campaigns, and raids against illegal activities under the PC/PNDT Act to improve the gender ratio.
DC Sarwan instructed the Civil Surgeon to raise awareness about the Chirayu Card among villagers, organizing camps to ensure comprehensive healthcare coverage. He encouraged people to use the e-Sanjeevani app for minor illnesses, emphasizing remote consultations for timely treatment. The DC also urged district officials to adopt TB patients to work towards making the entire district TB-free.
During the meeting, the DC obtained detailed information from the Civil Surgeon about health facilities provided to villagers at stalls during the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra Jan Samvad. He directed the Civil Surgeon to ensure that the medical team is well-informed about health schemes provided by the Center and the State.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Mukta Kumar briefed the DC on the BCG adult vaccination campaign, scheduled to start from January 15, targeting selected individuals above 60 years and those aged 18 to 59 with diabetes, TB, and a history of chain smoking. Dr. Mukta also provided details on the TB situation in the district, with approximately 820 TB patients, highlighting the success of making Village Thana Ki Sair in Pinjore Block the first TB-free Panchayat in Haryana. Dr. Mukta urged residents to become Mikshay Mitra to raise awareness and ensure timely treatment for TB patients.
