This year over 240 universities are going to conduct undergraduate admissions through CUET this year. This is almost more than by 90 from last year. Around 82,655 applications for CUET-UG have been received from students in Jammu and Kashmir this year, nearly 70,000 more than last year, said UGC chairman, M Jagadesh Kumar.
He further added that approximately 1,000 applications have been received for CUET-UG from foreign students from 74 countries.
Chairman further told that from India, maximum applications for CUET-UG have been received from Uttar Pradesh, followed by Delhi and Bihar. He told that the highest number of CUET-UG applications have been received from Delhi University, followed by BHU and Allahabad University. Additionally, almost 14 lakh applications have been received for second edition of CUET-UG. That is more than by 41 per cent from last year.
