Couple Brutally Beat Grandmother For not cooking properly

A disturbing video capturing a man and his wife brutally attacking his own grandmother with a stick in Bhopal circulated widely on Wednesday, resulting in the couple’s arrest as they attempted to flee the city.

Police officials stated that the woman, who appears to be in her seventies, faced such inhumane treatment because she did not cook food to the couple’s liking.

The man and his wife reside in Bhopal’s Jahangirabad area, and according to neighbors, it was a frequent occurrence to hear them physically abusing the woman, who was a widow.

The latest assault was clandestinely recorded by a neighbor from the window of the couple’s residence, and it circulated widely on Wednesday morning.

In the video, the woman is seen seated on the floor of the house, facing her grandson sitting in front of her, and her granddaughter-in-law positioned at the edge of a bed. Following the confrontation, the younger woman twists the older woman’s arm, causing her to scream. Subsequently, her grandson restrains her by holding her down in his lap and covering her mouth.

His wife proceeds to repeatedly strike her with a stick. Eventually, the man releases his grandmother, only to elbow her in the back as his wife continues to assault her with the stick, before restraining her once more.

After the video garnered widespread circulation, the Jahangirabad police initiated a search for the couple and apprehended them as they were trying to flee the city.
