In a notable advancement, the construction of a 32-kilometer highway from Kail to Tajewala in Yamunanagar, Haryana, is progressing rapidly, with an expected completion within the next eighteen months. This groundbreaking initiative, designated as National Highway-907, is poised to offer significant benefits to travelers commuting between Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, individuals traveling from Chandigarh via Jagadhri can anticipate a reduction of 40 to 45 minutes in their travel time.
The Kail to Tajewala highway, with an estimated cost of approximately 1200 crore rupees, is on track to be fully operational within two years. Following its completion, the journey for motorists will become notably more convenient, and the highway’s wider lanes will contribute to smoother and safer travel, reducing the incidence of traffic jams and accidents.
The highway spans through nearly a dozen villages from Kail to Singhpora Sherpur. The widening of the old National Highway from Sherpur Mod to Tajewala is in progress, transforming it into a four-lane highway. Noteworthy features of the highway include the construction of bridges over the Som River near Chhachrauli and the Pathrala River near Urjani. Additionally, flyover service roads are planned for Pratapnagar.

Approximately 90% of the required land has already been transferred to the National Highway Authority, with the remaining government and private structures set to be cleared.Maintaining a speed limit of 100 kilometers per hour, the highway aims to provide a swift and efficient journey. Once operational, a toll plaza will be installed near Urjani, with the toll amount to be determined by the authority at a later date.
Mr. Satyaprakash Nigam, Senior Project Manager of Raj Raj Shyam Construction Company, overseeing the construction, reported that over 350 laborers are actively contributing to the project.
