Congress will bring no-confidence motion against BJP-JJP govt: Hooda

On Wednesday, an important Congress Legislature Party meeting convened to discuss the upcoming budget session. Chaired by former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the party resolved to introduce a no-confidence motion against the government, citing failures across various sectors and widespread dissatisfaction. Hooda emphasized that the Congress will address issues such as cooperatives, Ayushman, mining, and FPO scams during the session. Additionally, the party will seek answers on rising unemployment, irregularities in the Skill Employment Corporation, deployment of youth to conflict zones like Israel, preferential treatment to outsiders in Haryana’s recruitment, recruitment scams, and the Agneepath Scheme.

Beyond these concerns, the Congress plans to raise matters like escalating drug abuse, discontinuation of scholarships for SC-BC children, schemes for SCs, declining education standards, farmers’ conditions, weather-related damages, flood compensation, irregularities in family identity cards, poor road conditions, and minority issues. Hooda disclosed that MLAs have been assigned responsibilities on various issues, and they will present adjournment and calling attention motions in the House.

Addressing journalists post-meeting, Hooda expressed public skepticism about the forthcoming budget, attributing it to the government’s failure to address state debt concerns. Responding to allegations of scams in Group C recruitment, he urged the government to take youth complaints seriously, citing ongoing irregularities in recruitments as a troubling trend. Commenting on the surge in extortion and firing incidents, Hooda criticized the BJP-JJP government for allowing a breakdown in the state’s law and order system. He highlighted instances of extortion threats, such as the case involving a Maturam Jalebi seller in Gohana, and reported similar incidents in Rohtak and Sampla. Concerned about the deteriorating security situation, Hooda announced his intention to visit Sampla to meet shopkeepers and residents, addressing their fears.
