Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has stated that the BJP-JJP is only completing a formality by calling a three-day Winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha because they have no answers to the public’s questions and the government’s failures. He said Congress has given Adjournment and Calling Attention motions on more than 24 issues, which require a long time for discussion. Addressing a press conference after the Congress Legislature Party meeting here on Wednesday, the former Chief Minister said every issue raised by the party MLAs is directly related to the people of the state. “But as always, the government seems to be avoiding accountability. If the government has an answer to all these failures, then it should further extend the duration of the assembly session. This demand will also be raised strongly in the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee,” he said.
Hooda said party MLAs discussed in detail the issues to be raised in the upcoming assembly session. On behalf of Congress MLAs, deaths due to poisonous liquor in Yamunanagar and Ambala, pending compensation of farmers, sexual exploitation of children in Uchana, mining scam, deteriorating law and order situation, shortage of doctors and staff in hospitals, increasing corruption, declining education. Adjournment and attention-grabbing proposals will be given on issues like level, Panchayat land, increasing pollution, polluted irrigation water supply in Gurugram, change in sports policy, besides the election results of five states in the meeting today, and also discussed Haryana Congress President Chaudhary Udaibhan was also specially present in this meeting.
He said wide ranging issues like CET, recruitment paper leak, veterinary surgeon recruitment scam, pending recruitments, ignoring reservation in temporary recruitments of Skill Employment Corporation, compensation for crops, non-purchase of paddy and other crops at MSP, shortage of fertilizers and seeds, proposals were also made to discuss various issues including increasing drug addiction, migration of youth due to unemployment, violation of rights of Panchayati Raj institutions, cutting of BPL cards of poor people, shameful statements of Agriculture Minister about farmers, Health Minister leaving the work of his department, will be raised in the session of the Vidhan Sabha.
