Congress MP Balu Dhanorkar, who represented the Chandrapur Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra, sadly passed away on Tuesday at a private hospital in Delhi.
Reports suggest that Dhanorkar had been experiencing kidney-related issues, leading to his admission at Medanta Hospital, where he breathed his last on Tuesday morning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his condolences upon hearing the news of Dhanorkar’s demise.
Taking to social media handle, PM Modi said, “Saddened by the passing away of Lok Sabha MP from Chandrapur, Balubhau Narayanrao Dhanorkar Ji. He will be remembered for his contribution to public service and for empowering the poor. Condolences to his family and supporters. Om Shanti.” Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also expressed his condolences.
The final rites of Dhanorkar are expected to be performed at his native village, Varora.
