Congress MLA’s silent protest: Turban becomes symbol

MLA who demanded action against Congress leaders in Simlia for including Khan’s slum village in Kota, as well as taking action against corruption allegations against Minister Khan, did not utter a word of opposition in front of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday.
Bharat Singh stated that his “Munda” (turban) itself is now a symbol of his opposition. The Chief Minister is also well aware of what his opposition entails. He had sent a registered letter along with a piece of his hair to the Chief Minister.
When he expressed his desire to meet the Chief Minister, he went to Circuit House on Wednesday night to meet him. Gehlot requested him to contest the elections in Sangod. Bharat Singh, however, clearly refused to contest the elections. He said that he had already declined to contest the elections. If the party chooses a good candidate, Congress will win again from here.
Bharat Singh invited the Chief Minister to his residence. On Thursday morning, the Chief Minister arrived and had a political discussion. Bharat Singh stated that Gehlot is an old associate of his, and only general topics were discussed during the meeting. Singh said, “There was no talk related to the protest. He had already removed all the posters related to the protest from outside his house before the Chief Minister’s arrival.”
Congress MLA Bharat Singh stated that the issues he is protesting against are still unresolved. His protest will continue until these issues are resolved.
