Gopal Atri, President of the Public Utility Cell of the local Congress, has raised concerns over the daily embarrassment faced by women due to the absence of separate toilets at Bapudham Community Centre. Expressing his dissatisfaction, Atri deems such negligence unacceptable in a city like Chandigarh and calls for immediate attention from the administration and corporation officials.
Atri highlighted that the booking of Bapudham Community Center has been closed since July 2023, causing inconvenience to the local residents. Despite the completion of kitchen renovation, no bookings are being accepted, creating further challenges for the people of Bapudham. Atri demands prompt action to address both the lack of facilities and the booking issue.
During the visit to the Community Center, Congress leaders including Suman Lata, District President Mahila Congress, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Vice Chairman, Minority Department, Mohammad Suleman, Block President, Ward No. 3, and Mohammad Qasim, General Secretary Minority Department, joined Atri in emphasising the need for immediate resolutions.
