Congress Govt will expand metro network in the state: ex-CM Hooda

Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said that the Congress government, which brought metro to Bahadurgarh, Gurgaon and Ballabhgarh, will connect Gurgaon to Faridabad through a metro. Not only this, metro will also be expanded to Palwal, Rohtak and Sonipat. Hooda was addressing the workers conference held in Faridabad here on Tuesday. On this occasion, Haryana Congress President Chaudhary Udai Bhan and Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Singh Hooda also worked to instill enthusiasm among the workers.

In his address, Hooda said that the coming government in the state will be of Congress. “Party workers should go among the public under the party’s new program ‘Ghar-Ghar Congress’ and tell them what work the Congress government of the state will do. Along with metro expansion, Congress will have special emphasis on employment generation, because the present government has made Haryana number one in unemployment. Instead of filling 2 lakh vacant posts in government departments, BJP-JJP want to send youth abroad through Skill Corporation. Educated youth are being exploited in the name of temporary contract jobs,” he said.

“When the Congress government is formed in Haryana, there will be confirmed recruitment to all the vacant posts. All the chowkidars and MNREGA mates, including the 11,000 sanitation workers who were appointed during the Congress government, will be confirmed. Apart from this, old age pension of Rs 6000 will be given to the elderly, old pension to the employees, 300 units of free electricity, gas cylinder for Rs 500, free plots of 100 square yards, stipend will also be given to SC-OBC and poor children,” he said.

Hooda said that the fight for change of power has started. All Congress workers have to fight this battle with hard work, full commitment, enthusiasm and passion.
State Congress president Chaudhary Udai Bhan said no stone should be left unturned in promoting the party and its policies. “Every Congressman has to put a Congress flag at his house and a sticker on his vehicle. Youth have to pay special attention to social media. People have to be told what development works were done in Haryana during the tenure of Congress,” he said.

“During the Congress government, 81.5 kms of metro line was laid in Haryana. Whereas the present government did not take forward the metro even by 1 inch. During the Congress tenure, 4 big power plants and one nuclear power plant were established in Haryana.

Whereas the present government has not done the work of generating even a single unit of electricity,” he said. The state president said 12 universities, and 6 medical colleges were built in the state under the Hooda government. Talking about Faridabad, Greater Faridabad, YMCA University, Medical College and IMT were established. “But during the BJP tenure, small and big industries already established in Faridabad, started migrating and new investment stopped coming. Due to this the youth got stuck in the quagmire of unemployment. Not only this, poor were made homeless by the present government by bulldozing 5000 slums. Congress workers have to make the public aware about these actions of the government,” he said.

MP Deepender Hooda, while addressing the Congress workers conference in Faridabad, said the Haryana government was formed not by the trust of the people, but by betrayal. Clarifying his point, he said government means the entire cabinet.
“In the 2019 elections, the public had defeated most of the ministers of the BJP government and sent them back home. These mainly included Ram Vilas Sharma, Omprakash Dhankhar, Captain Abhimanyu, Kavita Jain, Manish Grover, Krishna Panwar and others.

In the 2019 elections, the people defeated the BJP government and also defeated the party as BJP state president Subhash Barala lost the election by a huge margin,” he said.
“As far as the Chief Minister is concerned, his victory was the victory of the minority, as the majority in Karnal did not vote at all. Out of the 90 assembly segments of Haryana, the least number of votes, 49%, was cast in Karnal and the surprising thing is that the maximum number of NOTA votes was also cast in Karnal. On the other hand, Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda won with the highest number of votes among the 90 constituencies in Haryana. If JJP had not betrayed the people of the state, there would not have been any BJP government in the state today,” he said and called upon the workers to ensure Congress victory on all the 9 seats of Faridabad,” he said.
