Competitions begin for Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympics

Under the allocation of Budget Announcement No. 43 of the financial year 2023-24, the district-level competitions for the Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympics began on Friday in the urban and rural areas of the district, in Popalin Nagari.
MLA from Pachpadra, Madan Prajapat, and District Collector Rajendra Vijay formally inaugurated the sporting event at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Stadium in the district headquarters. On this occasion, MLA Madan Prajapat and District Collector Rajendra Vijay hoisted the flag and officially inaugurated the district-level competitions of Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympics, saluting the athletes and emphasizing the spirit of sports. MLA Madan Prajapat thanked the state government and the Minister of Sports for organizing the Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympics in the district for the first time after the formation of Balotra district. He addressed the youth athletes, saying that they are the future of the country, and he hopes that they will represent the nation by excelling in sports. He congratulated the winning teams at the block-level sports competitions.
