CM Yogi: Chhath Mahaparv should become a benchmark for cleanliness and safety

Officials have been instructed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to make sure that the forthcoming Chhath Mahaparv establishes new benchmarks for safety and cleanliness. The Chief Minister emphasized during a critical meeting on Friday the need for special initiatives by the Departments of Urban Development and Panchayati Raj to preserve a clean environment throughout the state during the Chhath festival celebrations and rituals. Ensuring that rivers and reservoirs remain unpolluted is imperative while honoring the sentiments of the populace. Campaigns for public awareness should be launched to deter the use of single-use plastics.
