To provide an opportunity for students to understand the police system from close quarters and become active partners in governance and security, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday launched the Student Police Cadet (SPC) Scheme across the state. In the first phase, over 11,200 8th graders selected from 280 government schools participated in the function via video conferencing.
