CM Khattar unveils new BJP office, highlights govt’s feats

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar underscored the state government’s accomplishments in development and public welfare over the past eight-and-a-half years during the inauguration of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) new office, Karna Kamal, in Karnal’s Sector 9 on Thursday. He emphasised that the government has initiated numerous projects and schemes to benefit every section of the state’s population.
One of the notable schemes is the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), an e-governance initiative aimed at promoting paperless and faceless delivery of services to citizens. The family information data depository has been praised by other states, which have expressed interest in studying its implementation. A survey conducted through the PPP led to the creation of 12.50 lakh new Below Poverty Line (BPL) ration cards in Haryana.
Khattar also acknowledged the central government’s decision to raise the annual income limit from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh, which allowed 7 lakh people to receive free medical treatment under the Ayushman card and CHIRAYU Haryana Yojana. The government has reportedly spent Rs 950 crore on this initiative.
In addition to the PPP, the state government has continued its tradition of celebrating the birth anniversaries of great men and sages. A state-level program, Guru Gorakhnath Smriti Utsav, was held to commemorate Guru Gorakhnath. During the event, Khattar announced the establishment of a research chair at Baba Mast Nath University in Rohtak in Guru Gorakhnath’s name and the inclusion of his biography and teachings in the school curriculum.
The Chief Minister revealed plans to honour traditional instrumentalists with a pension scheme and the launch of the ‘Sant Mahapurush Vichar Samman Evam Prasar Yojana’ to promote the teachings of saints and great men. He emphasised the government’s role in spreading messages of communal harmony, peace, and teachings of these figures.
Khattar praised the BJP as the world’s largest democratic party, with a membership exceeding the population of many countries. He encouraged party workers to promote government policies and schemes to ensure that people benefit from them. He mentioned the Jan Samvad programs, which have been launched across the state to gather public feedback on development projects and government schemes. To date, these programs have been held in Bhiwani, Palwal, and Kurukshetra districts.
