The political parties are now gearing up for the upcoming assembly polls. New schemes, policies and promises are making their way into the election campaign. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is also gearing up his game by introducing new schemes. On Sunday, various new policies and schemes were introduced in the state, especially in the field of education.

Decisions regarding the education The Chief Minister has approved a financial grant of Rs 4.41 million for the construction of a girls’ hostel at the Kasturba Gandhi Residential School in Kunthawa (Khamnor) in the Rajsamand district. This hostel will accommodate students from classes 9 to 12, and it will have a residential capacity of 100 students. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a financial proposal of Rs 2.01 crores for the construction of new classrooms at Mahatma Gandhi School in Vidhyadhar Nagar.

As per the proposal, 9 classrooms, 5 laboratories with equipment, and 1 library room will be constructed at the school. In the same series, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the elevation of 11 Sanskrit Schools in Rajasthan. Among these schools, 6 will be elevated from Praveshika to Varishth Upadhyay level, 3 from Uchh Prathmik to Varishth Upadhyay level, and 2 from Prathmik to Uchh Prathmik level.

In addition to these, the state government also approved the creation of 32 additional positions in 4 new polytechnic colleges in the state for the efficient implementation of the action plan. Drain constructions in Jaipur Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved proposals for the constructionof drains in the Hawa Mahal area of Jaipur and the municipal area of Kotputli.

A financial grant of Rs 9.80 crores has been allocated for this purpose. Drinking water supply under Jal Jeevan Mission Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, works worth about Rs 476.36 crore were approved in various areas of the state to ensure a smooth supply of drinking water in all areas.

The development of water sources, construction of transmission pipelines, pump houses, elevated storage tanks, reservoirs and other water harvesting and storage bodies will be carried out to provide functional household tap connections to the common people. Decisions regarding health centres and workers Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has decided to upgrade various sub-health centres of the state to primary health centres and open new sub-health centres.

The state government has approved the proposal for appointment to the necessary posts. Lab technicians and radiographers have been receiving a monthly allowance of Rs 2250 until now. However, the government has increased this amount to Rs 2750. Due to this new proposal, lab technicians and radiographers will now receive the same uniform allowance as nursing staff.

The recommendation to increase the allowance from Rs 2250 to Rs 2750 per month for nursing staff was made by the Employee Salary Discrepancy Committee chaired by Khemraj Chaudhary. Previously, there was no separate provision for lab technicians and radiographers, but now, their uniform allowance has been approved to be the same as nursing staff.

Discount for females travelling in Rajasthan Roadways The state government has decided to provide a 90% discount on getting the monthly pass for all girls and women on the state roadways. Now, girls and women obtaining the monthly pass for roadways will only have to pay a mere 10% of the rent. This discount will apply to Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation’s regular and fast buses within the state’s borders.
