CM Gehlot presented ‘Rajat Padak’ to Bhilwara for TB Reduction

In a significant achievement under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program, Bhilwara district, Rajasthan, has been awarded the prestigious Rajat Padak (Silver Medal) for its notable contribution to reducing tuberculosis (TB) rates, not only at the state level but also at the national level.
The award was presented to the District Collector, Mr. Ashish Modi, by the Honorable Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot during a ceremony held at his residence in Jaipur. The success of this achievement is credited to the dedicated efforts of the Health Department, medical professionals, and local representatives.
Mr. Ashish Modi, the District Collector, extended his congratulations to all residents of the district while acknowledging the significant role played by the Health Department’s team and various officials in the successful execution of the Tuberculosis Free Rajasthan campaign. Providing details of this achievement, he explained that during the campaign to eliminate TB, Bhilwara district achieved a remarkable reduction in the TB rate, ranging from 40% to 60% when compared to the TB rate in 2015. In recognition of this substantial progress, the Government of India honoured the district with the Rajat Padak. At the state-level event, Dr. Mushtaq Khan, the Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr. Pradeep Kataria, the District TB Officer, and senior treatment supervisors from the State Tuberculosis Program were present to celebrate this significant milestone.
