Kamal Sisodia, Commandant of the 13th Battalion, CRPF, was invited to deliver a lecture on women’s empowerment during the seven-day NSS camp of the NSS unit at Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-42, Chandigarh. During the lecture, he emphasized that girls are not inferior to boys in any respect; in fact, they are superior to them in many areas. Sisodia noted that women have an equal contribution to the creation of the universe as men.
He further stated that to accurately assess the progress of a society, one should consider the status of women within that society. The strength of a society can be measured by recognizing that women constitute half of its population. Sisodia emphasized that without including them, no society can achieve holistic improvement.
In addition to the Commandant’s insightful statements on women’s empowerment, he provided information about rules and laws regarding women’s rights.
As a token of appreciation, the Commandant was honored with the Mahila Gaurav Samman by the Rotaract Club and College Management. College Principal Professor Dr. Nisha Aggarwal, NSS Incharge Dr. Mehar Chandra, Rotaract Club President Rishabh, and others were present at the occasion.
