CID nets 1.546 Kg Opium and 7 Kg Doda Chura

The CID Crime Branch, with the assistance of local police, detained two drug traffickers who were involved in drug trafficking in the Gulabpura police station area of Bhilwara district. They confiscated high-quality 1.546 kilograms of opium and 7 kilograms of opium doda chura. The seized narcotics have an estimated international market value of approximately 8 lakh 55 thousand rupees.
Additional Director General of Police (Crime) Dinesh MN informed that in continuous efforts against drug trafficking, a special team from the Police Headquarters Crime Branch, under the supervision of Inspector General (Crime) Prafull Kumar and Additional Police Commissioner Rajesh Malik, detained two suspects – Bherulal, son of Gopi, resident of Gangrar police station area in Chittorgarh district, and Gopal, son of Nandalal, resident of Sadash police station area in Chittorgarh, who were travelling on an unnumbered motorcycle in the Gulabpura police station area.
The team was formed based on information provided by Assistant Sub-Inspector Banwari Lal. The team gathered information for several days and developed it further.
ADG Dinesh MN revealed that on Tuesday, local police in the Gulabpura area assisted in setting up a checkpoint. They detained Gopal, who was driving a motorcycle without a number plate, and he revealed that he was escorting a car involved in drug trafficking. Shortly afterwards, a Swift car approached, which was intercepted. A search led to the discovery of high-quality 1.546 kilograms of opium and 7 kilograms of opium doda chura.
Both the motorcycle rider, Gopal, and the Swift car driver, Bheru Lal, were arrested under the NDPS Act. The police also seized both vehicles along with the illegal narcotics. In this operation, ASI Banwari Lal played a key role, while Constable Kuldeep Singh and Jitendra Kumar provided special technical assistance.
