Chhattisgarh: 2 CRPF jawans injured in IED blast in Bijapur

On Monday morning, an IED explosion in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district injured two members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), according to the police.
The injured jawans received first care at the local hospital before being flown to Raipur, according to the police. The CRPF team had reportedly departed from Pusnar Camp for Hiroli in order to take control of the surrounding area when they came across the pressure-triggered IED that the Naxalites had buried and set off an explosion, according to officials.
Around 10:30 am, the incident happened in the Gangalur neighbourhood close to Takmeta Hill.
More information is awaited.
