Chandigarh to Himachal: New road gets green signal

Important news has emerged for those travelling from Chandigarh to Himachal Pradesh. People commuting from Chandigarh to Nalagarh will now have to cover less distance, as per the information received that the Punjab government has approved the construction of a new road from Siswan T Point. Notably, Nalagarh is an industrial area, and many businessmen and employees from Chandigarh visit Nalagarh daily. Some have even opened their businesses in Nalagarh. Due to this, there is regular travel between Chandigarh and Nalagarh. With the approval of the Punjab government, this journey will now be reduced to approximately 22 kilometres. The construction of this road will not only provide relief from traffic issues but will also shorten the travel distance.
It is reported that the length of the upcoming road will be approximately 22 kilometres, with an estimated cost of around 27 crore rupees. This road will start from Siswan Road T Point and will connect to the village Lakhanpur on Nalagarh Road. Additionally, it will pass through villages in Punjab such as Abhipur, Miyanpur, and Harnampur.
Currently, there are only two routes from Chandigarh to Nalagarh, one passing through Baddi, an industrial area where traffic congestion is common, and the other, a longer route through Kurali.
