In celebration of Makar Sankranti, the Construction Workers Labor Union of Chandigarh organized a langar featuring khichdi and curd powder at the Labor Chowk of Sector 44-C. The event also marked the inauguration of the new office of the Construction Workers Labor Union. Former MP and Additional Solicitor General of the Government of India, Satya Pal Jain, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
During the event, Satya Pal Jain distributed Prasad of Khichdi and Dahi Chura to the underprivileged, emphasizing the joy of celebrating festivals with the labor class. He also actively participated in the festivities by sharing the Prasad with the laborers.
In his address, Jain expressed his privilege in celebrating festivals with the labor community, highlighting the satisfaction it brings to the mind. The occasion also witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including President and former councilor Ram Lal, Vice President Gulab Chand Yadav, and other prominent members of the labor union.
The event not only brought festive cheer to the laborers but also served as an opportunity to inaugurate the new office, symbolizing progress and commitment within the Construction Workers Labor Union.
