CEO UT Ladakh flags off polling teams for 1-Ladakh parliamentary constituency

In a significant step towards the democratic process, the Chief Electoral Officer of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Sh. Yetindra M. Maralkar, today flagged off polling teams to their respective polling stations. The teams departed with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and other essential election materials, ensuring readiness for the voting process.

The election for the 1-Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, May 20, 2024. This event marks a crucial opportunity for the residents of Ladakh to exercise their right to vote and contribute to the democratic governance of their region.

CEO Maralkar emphasized the importance of conducting free and fair elections, assuring that comprehensive measures have been implemented to provide a secure and accessible voting environment for every eligible voter in Ladakh.

The Election Commission of India, in collaboration with local authorities, has meticulously prepared for this election. All necessary protocols and safety measures have been put in place to facilitate a smooth electoral process. Voters are strongly encouraged to participate actively and ensure their votes are counted.
