Central government employees in Haryana can now avail cashless healthcare services. The Central government has approved the opening of two clinics under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) in Rohtak and Rewari, benefiting thousands in Haryana. Detailed guidelines on the scheme and its operation will be released soon. The demand for opening clinics in Rewari has been ongoing for a long time.
An official notification has been issued by the Director of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) regarding this matter. Additional directors from Chandigarh and Delhi have been directed to visit these cities. The notification states that the feasibility of opening CGHS Wellness Centers in these locations should be assessed. Data regarding the potential number of beneficiaries, especially serving and pensioned individuals, in the cities should be collected. The availability of suitable housing in the surrounding areas of these districts will also be examined.
This decision by the Central government will benefit thousands in Haryana, particularly in Rewari, where the demand for opening such clinics has been persistent. In the NCR region of Haryana, many people work in the Central government offices in Delhi. The families of these employees reside in Haryana. Additionally, several employees who have retired from various Central government departments continue to live in Haryana. Such employees have been demanding health facilities similar to those provided to state government employees for a long time.
