CCTV footage has emerged capturing the theft of Shagun and a bag filled with cash at a marriage palace in Kakrali village, Panchkula district. In a complaint lodged at Raipur Rani Police Station, Major Singh, son of Gurnam Singh from Patvi village, reported that his daughter’s wedding reception was hosted at the Grand Mirage Palace in Kakrali.
Major Singh stated that during the celebration around 3 o’clock, while relatives were rejoicing, he had a white-colored handbag containing Shagun envelopes and approximately two to three lakh rupees.
According to Major Singh, he had placed the bag on a sofa inside the palace during the festivities. Upon checking the bag after the gathering, he discovered that the bag containing money had been stolen.
Subsequently, the police registered a case at Raipur Rani Police Station and initiated an investigation. Upon reviewing the CCTV footage from the marriage palace, a teenager was observed carrying a bag. The Raipur Rani Police and Crime Branch team are actively investigating the entire incident.
The manager responsible for overseeing the marriage palace’s operations commented on the matter, stating that they are fully cooperating with the police. He mentioned that the CCTV camera videos from the marriage palace have been provided to the police for their investigation.
