Cardiac ICU set up in Pali for enhanced heart patient care

In a significant development, a 10-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has been established within the premises of Pali district’s largest hospital, aiming to enhance the treatment of heart patients. The ICU is poised to commence treating cardiac patients soon, with support from the Ahmedabad-based Apremia company.
At an approximate cost of 1.5 crores, the hospital has equipped the 10-bed Cardiac ICU, addressing the challenges faced by cardiac patients due to previous facility limitations. Previously, patients often encountered difficulties, with doctors treating them in the trauma ward and either sending them home after examination or referring them to other locations, resulting in the loss of many lives.
The newly established Cardiac ICU is expected to provide significant convenience in cardiac patient treatment, offering comprehensive facilities tailored to their needs.
Additionally, the Rajasthan Medical Education Society has allocated a budget of 5.50 crores for the construction of a Cath Lab at Bagad Hospital. The Cath Lab, located behind the Medical ICU, will facilitate post-heart surgery admissions to the nearby Cardiac ICU. The Cath Lab will be fully equipped, featuring essential facilities such as angiography and angioplasty. The move is a crucial step forward in advancing cardiac care facilities in the region.
